Our marchantia clay model......

On the 2oth Feb, the Bio Unit are organising the Bio Fair. Each practicum were given topics to be presented on. Basically, we have the topic and we need to be creative to come out with something so that we can do the exhibition and make people understand more in depth of the topic that is being presented. I heard that they are doing it quite grandly coz they've invited other matriculations' students as well. The more the merrier it would be as the saying goes. There'll be prices for the best ones so all are out to grab it. But then again, all that does matters to me will be the amount of time that we were going to spend/ already spend, working on this project.

As for my class, we got the 'LIFE CYCLE OF MARCHANTIA'. Hearing it at first made me think, what the hell this topic is all about coz we had yet to learn on it. Thus, it means that we would have to do our own homeworks on this small topic. My lecturer said that this topic is going to be tough to be presented but then, we will try our best as we all are putting in our creative heads into this to get people amused with this unfamiliar organism. These were the tonnes of funs we had while completing the project....

I helped out to make them also for hours!!!

Loshini's 19th

My very close friend's birthday happened to fall on the 24th which is the sunday that we were returning back to college. So, definitely we had to celebrate her birthday somehow rite? Evil plans were drawn and we tried to pull it off that night.

2 weeks earlier I already informed Lee (Losh's class rep) to inform/lie to her saying that we are having chem lecture on that Sunday night. If either me or our friends were to inform her, she would be very suspicious and therefore Lee was dragged into the plan. On that Sunday night, we had dinner at Pam's place before so call going off to lecture and seriously speaking, Loshini really fell for it as she messaged me telling me not to be late for class.

But before that, the plan was almost exposed when her classmates called her to the cafe to celebrate hers and Sir Aznam's birthday. As usual, she reminded them of the 'lecture' and her classmates denied, saying that there is no class for that night. They immediately contacted the lecturer to confirm about this.Our lecturer was like, "Waaah, you guys still so bersemangat wanna study chemistry huh"... WHAT A BLUNDER!!!!

Then she called me to tell me that the lecture is cancelled. SWT!!! So, we had to find another way to convince her to get her coming to the DK so that we can give her a surprise attack. I had to lie and somehow manage to convince her to come. So, the plan was on track with a little delay. Here she came and we just surprised her with a birhday cake and song! She was really astonished as she did'nt expected all this from us. Btw, she knew that I was lying but I dunno why she still agreed to come there....^^

So, there it went with the usual cake cutting and feeding to everyone present there. Pam was saying that it was not fair coz she got to cut like 3 cakes in a day! What a lucky girl. So, it still sound like a normal surprise party rite. So, we decided to make it even more memorable by bullying her with the flour. She was really 'pretty' after the 'facial' was done. HAHAHAHAHAHA! Finally, everyone got to bully her there. We just covered her with flour and she was sunning around, chasing us but she could'nt get the hang of it coz we had out-numberred her and we also attacked her from multiple angle. Now this is what we call a memorable birthday bash!

Lastly, I hope you had a wonderful time this year with us. Hope you'll succeed in your well-beings and I am gonna miss u soon (matrix's life is gonna come to an end this april). Thnx to those who were present to make this event a successfull one also.....^^

That lil girl

She used to be that lil girl. Just like that lil girl who loved to lock herself up in her room. Just like that lil girl who just thought that her whole world was already perfectly fitted in that small room of hers. Lil did she din't know that she would have to venture out someday. Venturing out all by herself into the whole brand new world as it is, without the guidance from her family, without the shelter from her teacher and without being accompanied by her close friends. That day finally arrives and off she goes into that new place without knowing what lies in the future for her. In her new place, she get to know partially of what live is like, the beginning of a new life. It was even bigger than the one she had back then in her small room. Her room seems to be tiny as compared to it. Many news faces she met, great new things she learnt and priceless experiences she gained. However, sometimes, she feels like going back into her small room and never to come out ever again, not from her used to be comfort zone. There were no particular reasons behind it but then again..... How she wished that she din't have to grow up and just stay put in the way it was. Gathering her courage, she knows that she needs to go through all this as this is part of her growing up process. She needs to make it through the path she'll be walking down to now; towards ADULT-HOOD

Hari Kesyukuran

Last month(but I dun't really rmb the date), the college had invited students, including me to the HARI KESYUKURAN (it's similar to Hari Anugerah Cemerlang used to b held back in schools). As I was sort of free that night, though I had to study for my quiz, I decided to attend that function. After being persuaded by some people, I decided to wear baju kurung instead for that night. My roomates were the ones getting very much excited to have me wearing it because I have never worn one to college before. The outfit was sponsored by The Ebil's Wardrobe.

As I was waiting for my friend outside, a lecturer approached me.

LECTURER: Boleh tak saya pinjam kamu?

ME: *blur*****blur*

LECTURER: Saya nak kamu jadi penyambut tetamu.

ME: What!!!!!

Frankly speaking, I have never been a penyambut tetamu before. I guessed that these were the times when you put to use the knowledge obtained from our Dinamika Kemahiran.


The function was supposed to start at around 8.20pm with the arrival of the Pengarah. Unfortunately, it started late. It started off with the usual bacaan doa and stuff. Then, they made us sing our national anthem. At that moment I realised that I"ve not sang NEGARAKU like for ages. After the Pengarah gave his speech, he called out upon a volunteer to represent us to give another speech. A girl went up (thumbs up to her courage).


Then, accompanied with live singing performances, we took our dinner. Kak Su was one of the singer there and seriusly speaking, she should try out for the Malaysian Idols or something. Meanwhile, we just mingled around and started giving out poses for the cameras. The food was just okay but nothing much spectacular. Other than that, i would say that the function ended pretty well.

Selamat Hari Raya!!!

Just before the study week commenced, there was a HARI RAYA celebration organised in the college. It was my first time attending such a function at college and they also allowed all the students to be in their best raya outfits. Most of them did turn up looking magnificent in their baju kurung or baju kebaya for the girls and baju melayu for the guys. To make the event more joyful, even the non-malays dressed up in baju melayu or baju kurung.

A SINFUL day... :(

It was an exciting Monday like usual but this was a bit extra exciting.... Reason? We just dissected a rat for our Bio experiment. Sounds fun right? Actually it was more than that....

I was kinda feeling bad coz I had to kill it for the sake of my learning experience. But hey, look at the bright side. The rat which is considered one of the annoying pests is put to a good used that day. By dissecting it, I really learned a lot. My lecturer said dat since the rat died to 'deliver' knowledge to us, we shud hav taken an xtra closer observation and gaining lotsa knowledge so that it will be more fruitful and productive.

Before we started off, my lecturer asked wheta v wanted to do it individually or with partners coz there were 16 fainted rats to b shared amongst the 23 of us. At first I wanted to do it individually but then my partner suggested that v shud do it together coz she has a weak heart and stomach against disgusting stuffs. From the beginning, she was there to help me but once Ive cut thru the skin, revealing all the organs, she cud not take it anymore leaving me 2 do it all by myself which also means I sorta did the whole thing individually. :p .... Abeh Mar who also cud not withstand the experiments also took on another role as the photographer of the day. We all just handed our cameras and handphones and he went all the way taking shots since our hands were already stained with blood.

I've got the skinniest rat which was a good thing coz i dun hav to do extra work to clean off the fats. But the grossiest part was when I just dissected it open, pus (spelling??) or 'nanah' started coming out from the left part of the rat's chest and the smell was horrendous.... GROSS!!!! I just made an conclusion that this rat was already dying off cancer (If there are chances of it being so). Taking my mind off from the ugly part of it, I quickly studied the organs of the rat which is similarly looking to those of human's. The hardest part was when we were asked to remove the brain from its skull... The skull which was protecting the brain was really as hard as stone until I nearly hurt my own hand while we were trying to open the skull. But then, in the end, we did manage to open up the skull by sawing it.... looks like a gruesome murder to me!

The remaining guys were the ones who got extra hyper that day coz usually they r 'quiet' on normal days. Their group just skinned of the rat and carried its naked body mercilessly just like that, bullying others of course in the same time. Then, Muttaqin (if m not mistaken) went around each table to chop of each rat's tail and collect it. He managed to get 3 of them.... SWT!

Pammie's Birthday Bash

It was Pam's birthday on the 12th of August. I know that this is really a late update but anyway I've still managed to find some time to post on this event.

Alright, back to what I was on earlier. Losh and me planned to give an early morning suprise birthday wish. We ambushed her in her 'mansion' around 7.45 a.m., then we gave her a big smile and wished her. Since we were goin to be late, we parted off leaving her behind in her room. Too bad we did not have our lecture in the first hour, which means we only got back together during our bio lecture in the second hour.

What is a birthday celebration without a birthday cake, right? Another friend of ours brought in the birthday cake. For the amount of pocket money we had and it was a last minute plan anyway, we got her an APPOLO LAYERED CAKE, sounds economical right?... and its portable by the way. Did the usual feeding and singing birthday song among the four of us in the lecture hall (of course before the lecturer entered the class if not v r soooo dead).

Sounds like an usual and lame birthday celebration right... Actually the fun started off in the evening. We managed to persuade Pam until Losh's room whereby we locked her in there because we planned to give another birthday attack at a more wat i call 'matured level at matriculation stage'-- sounds like an evil deed to me. Planned to get her wet and sticky with water and my powder. But but but the smart of us did not think that anyone (even a small child ...) is capable of unlocking the door from the inside. Alright, you guessed it right! She got away as soon as she got to know our master plan.

Who cares if plan A is spoilt, we still have plan B. Plan B was supposed to be more aggresive whereby we really wanted to make her stink since she spolit our earlier plan by running away. So i suggested an egg-war. At first we already were armed with our weapons (fresh eggs) but Losh disagreed saying that it will be a big mess and besides nobody will be willing to clean it up since the next attack is suppose to take place in her room plus we dun want our outing cards to be consfiscated. So, we changed our plan a little to make it less vicious... We used ICE instead!!! It was a brilliant idea anyway because it was to be easier to clean the mess up later on.

We got a bag full of ice and we went off to Pam's room. We sneaked up to her room making as little noise as possible. We knew that she had looked herself up in the room and making it appear as if she's not in the room. But we were not gonna make a U-turn now after all the preparations that were done. So, we got another girl's help to call out Pam's roomate out. It worked obviously. As soon as the door was opened, I signalled her to keep quiet and we took this golden oppurtunity to launch out attack.

The war was on..... With ice water being splashed on Pam and of course we also got wet in the chilly ice water.... But poor Pam, she got the most of it. She was no match against the three of us. So, Pam, this is was I call as a real birthday bash!!!! Hope you have enjoyed the most of it and we all wanna wish u a happy happy happy 18th Birthday gal!!!! Dun worry coz if der was to b a next year's birthday celebration for u, maybe rotten eggs, with thick ketchup and smelly socks shud b included in the plan..... :p. I think the pictures will do most of the talking business after this onwards....
